We process your documents as PDF files (1.4 or higher).
- No overprinting
- Scale formats to 10% if larger than 5 meters
- Fonts should be converted to outlines or fully embedded
- Provide net dimensions in the trim box.
- The trim box is the actual size at which the canvas will be cut.
- Include bleed in the bleed box
- Do not convert PMS colors to CMYK
- Transparency is allowed, but for files with complex layering, we recommend flattening them to one layer. Please contact us for support.
- Each item to be printed should be in a separate PDF (no files with more than 1 page). Although PDF is the preferred file type, TIFF and JPEG can also be processed.
The resolution of prints depends on the application and the type of image.
- Outdoor application, viewed up close: 70 to 100 dpi
- Outdoor application, viewed from a distance: 30 to 70 dpi
- Indoor application, viewed up close: 100 to 150 dpi
- Indoor application, viewed from a distance: 70 to 100 dpi
File Submission
Please submit your files using one of the following methods:
- Via email (not exceeding 5 MB in size)
- Via WeTransfer
We typically work with width x height in centimeters as our standard measurement. The ordered size is the size that will be delivered. Files that do not match the requested size will be automatically scaled, provided they are submitted in the correct aspect ratio or with only a slight deviation. If this is not intended, please mention it separately. If there are significant deviations of more than approximately 2%, the order will be put on hold, and we will contact you.
Please note that our materials have a maximum print width. Files larger than the maximum print width will be divided into sections by default, unless specific instructions are provided regarding dividing the print.
Sublimation
For sublimated fabrics, it is important that there are no texts or other valuable information close to the edge. By sublimating the fabric, the print will be stretched a bit, with the possibility that this will be cut off. Please consider a margin of 1%.
Color Usage
Files can be submitted in both CMYK (Europe ISO Coated FOGRA39) and RGB (AdobeRGB 1998) color spaces. Our printers operate based on the CMYK principle. This means that PMS colors are also built using CMYK values and are approached as accurately as possible. Please note that some colors may be difficult to achieve accurately in CMYK.
Black
Never make up black in just 100K, but keep the following percentages: C60, M60, Y60, K100. (= deep black CMYK).
Color Gradients
Color gradients are built with a maximum of 256 shades. When using elongated gradients, it can result in visible stripes in the print. This is not a printer defect but a consequence of how the gradient is constructed. Some colors may cause this effect more prominently than others. The best results are achieved by submitting gradients as vectors.
Color Reference
Please contact our team for advice on a color matrix based on a PANTONE color or CMYK values. They will be able to assist you further in obtaining the desired color references.
Cut Contour
When a special shape or die-cut is required, a vector line in a spot color named 'Cut' is used to indicate the shape. This line itself will not be printed. If a die-cut is applied, it should be united into a shape that represents the overall contour. For detailed instructions on creating a cut contour, please refer to the 'Cut Contour Creation' guidelines.
